It’s been another really busy period for me over the last few weeks!! I attended the Learning Disability Partnership Board and was introduced to a range of people from a number of services across Northumberland. It was a really positive experience and I was able to do some of my Feeling Good Workshop with them which they loved!!
We had a very important visitor to Northumberland County Council a couple of weeks ago and I was asked to spend some time with her along with the ladies from Pottergate. Her name is Lyn Romeo and she is the Department of Health Chief Social Worker in England for Adults. She spent time with newly qualified social workers and also the Safeguarding Adults Team where she was able to see how I fit in supporting people with a range of issues. She’s even ‘tweeted’ about her visit on Twitter and asked me to go to London!! Watch this space………I wonder if I’ll get to meet the Queen??!!
I have a number of workshops planned up until Christmas and already the New Year is looking busier. The Bereavement and Loss Programme is now complete and I have a 5 week programme already booked starting in November.
I’m so happy to be settling in well and look forward to letting you know all about my work in the future.
Bye for now!
