This two day Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a nationally and internationally recognised training course that gives a person the knowledge, skills and confidence to make an immediate helping response to someone experiencing a mental health crisis.
This course will look at how to help, support and give information to people experiencing problems such as depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety or psychosis. A variety of teaching methods (including discussion, group work and DVD clips) will be used to keep the day lively. All those who complete the course will receive a manual and a certificate of participation.
