PREVENT (part of the Government’s counter terrorism strategy ‘Contest’)

Event Overview:

These workshops are to raise awareness among practitioners of the PREVENT Principle to reduce terrorism and to identify who may be targeted and exploited into supporting terrorism or indeed becoming susceptible to radicalisation into terrorism.

The health sector and indeed any organisation commissioned to provide care and support to vulnerable people are in a position of great influence and therefore should be viewed within existing safeguarding frameworks.

The Workshops include video material and group work.

The frequency of this training is once.

Target Group:

Care Management/Care Co-Ordination Teams, staff employed by NHCT/NCC only.

NHCT Staff Team Sessions can still be arranged if preferred – please contact Leigh Waller to arrange.
